Data collected by the Associated Press and a nonprofit news agency show that one in five inmates in federal and state prisons in the United States have tested positive for COVID-19, and more than half of prisoners in some states have the novel coronavirus.
The Associated Press reported on the 18th that at least 275,000 prisoners in the United States have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus, of which more than 1,700 have died, and the spread of the novel coronavirus in prisons shows no sign of slowing down.
