New York, U.S. Asian hate incidents Women were hit in the street for no good

Aug. 24 2021 An Asian woman was injured in another attack on Asians in New York City on Sunday (22nd), local time.

According to the New York City Police Department, the 52-year-old female victim was walking along 1st Avenue to East 19th Street when a man approached her and punched her in the head about 1:30 p.m., the New York Daily News reported. The attackers also made hate speech and shouted “get back to your country” at the victims before fleeing south along 1st Avenue. The victim suffered head injuries and was treated by emergency personnel at the scene.

New York police on Monday released surveillance photos of the suspect, appealing to the public to help identify him and provide clues to his arrest.
