February 17th РEurope reported: The Irish Ministry of Health issued a communiqu̩ on the 17th that nearly 90% of the new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland are infected with variant coronavirus found in the United Kingdom, and the cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in the country has exceeded 4,000.

According to the data released by the Irish Ministry of Health on the 17th, there are 650 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, with a total of 211,751 confirmed cases; 57 new deaths and 4,036 deaths.

As of February 14, more than 270,000 people in Ireland had been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.

Irish Health Minister Stephen Donnelly previously told the media that the government hopes to vaccinate more than 4 million people nationwide against the coronavirus by the end of September this year, accounting for about 80% of Ireland’s total population.

North Macedonia’s Health Minister, Viko Filipche, announced on the 17th that the country’s coronavirus vaccination program will be launched, and some medical staff became the first inoculated on the same day.

It is planned that vaccination in the country will be carried out in stages, giving priority to medical staff, people over 70 years old, etc.

The Ministry of Health of North Macedonia reported 347 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the 17th, with a total of 97,703 confirmed cases; 7 new deaths and 3,010 cumulative deaths.
