Moroccan military cracked a transnational drug smuggling case and seized 5 tons of cannabis resin.

The Moroccan navy recently announced that in an anti-drug operation from April 6 to 8, the military cracked a transnational drug smuggling case in the western Moroccan city of Safi, seizing a total of five tons of cannabis resin. At present, the people involved have been arrested for further investigation.

Morocco is a country with more serious smuggling of cannabis products in the world. In 2020, Moroccan police arrested 97,564 people involved in drug smuggling and seized 217 tons of cannabis resin and other cannabis products.
