August 21st, local time 21st, a number of cities across Australia broke out anti-“city closure” protests, more than 250 people were arrested.

Protests in Melbourne were the largest and most violent, according to the Associated Press. On the same day, about 4,000 protesters took to the streets without masks, firing flares and chanting slogans in the city centre.
