January 11th – South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Monday (January 11) that the South Korean government will provide free coronavirus vaccine to all South Koreans in stages from next month.
In his speech, Moon said that the government will ensure that all people are vaccinated against the novel coronavirus free of charge in sequence, and he also promised that the vaccination will begin in February.
Moon also apologized to those who were in trouble because of soaring house prices and promised to take various measures to increase the supply of new houses.
Moon Jae-in added that 2021 will be a year for South Korea to “recover” from the coronavirus crisis, a year of “inclusiveness” to narrow social disparities, and a “leap leap” towards becoming a leading country.
