On the evening of December 31, 2020, local time, Minneapolis police released a video detail of the shooting and killing of a 23-year-old African-American man by local police on the 30th.

According to Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, the night of the shooting, an African-American man suspected of felony was shot dead in an exchange of fire with the police. According to the released video, Ming City policemen pulled the dead aside at 6:15 p.m.

on the 30th, and then the two sides exchanged fire. Aladdendo said that from the video, it should be the dead to shoot first, but it is not sure. Witnesses told the police that the deceased shot first and then was shot dead on the spot. No police officers were injured.

This is the second case in Minneapolis since the police killed a black man Freud with their knees in May. Although it is not sure whether the policemen who shot the killers in this case are correct, protesters still gathered near the shooting scene to protest.

Aladdendo said that demonstrators may go out again in the next few days. Municipal officials called on people to remain calm and pledged to inform the public of the facts openly and transparently.
