Malaysian Congress passes the largest fiscal budget in the country’s history

December 13th local time, the lower house of Malaysia passed the country’s 2022 national budget in third reading.

Malaysia’s 2022 budget, with a total size of Rm3321 billion, is the largest budget in the country’s history. Of the budget, 2335 billion RINGTTs are for administrative expenses; 756 billion RINGTTs are used for social development expenses; and another 230 billion LINGJ is used for the Coronavirus Fund.
