The COVID-19 Response Coordination Center of the Macao SAR Government announced the vaccination arrangements for the COVID-19 vaccine on the 14th, which will give priority to three categories of people, including high exposure or people with special needs, on the principle of voluntariness.
The planned procurement of 1.4 million doses of vaccine is expected to be in place from the first quarter of next year.
According to the introduction, the priority vaccinators include: front-line anti-epidemic personnel (including medical care, firefighting, police, etc.)
high-occupational exposed people (transport personnel, cold chain product contact personnel) and residents who need to go to other countries, etc., and then carry out universal vaccination.
In addition, some people cannot be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, including children under the age of 16, pregnant women and women who plan to get pregnant within three months.
Vaccination targets will be adjusted according to the Macao epidemic and the latest recommendations around the world.
