May 2 – 2021 Health Minister Hassan of Lebanon’s caretaker government said that the spread of the coronavirus in Lebanon slowed significantly, with the positive rate of coronavirus dropping to 11 percent at the end of April from a peak of 22 percent in February, and the number of confirmed cases and deaths declining, the Lebanese state news agency reported.
Hassan hopes that increased vaccinations in the coming weeks will help people across the country return to normal life in the summer.
It is reported that Lebanon is currently implementing a new round of closure measures, with the exception of hospitals, pharmacies, petrol stations, supermarkets, etc. can be open for a specified period of time, all public and private institutions must be closed.
