Kremlin: Putin has no intention of starting talks with the Czech government

by YCPress

Moscow, April 21 Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said in an interview Tuesday that the Czech government’s accusations against Russia over the 2014 bombing of the Czech Vrbertice arms depot are completely unfounded. The Czech government’s actions have damaged relations between Russia and the Czech Republic, and President Vladimir Putin has no plans to hold talks with the Czech government on the issue.

“The Russian side has no intention of starting talks with the Czech government for the time being, ” Peskov said. We firmly believe that this act by the Czech Government is groundless, irrational and destructive to the development of relations between the two countries. The Czech government simply wants to engage in unpredictable and aggressive behavior similar to that of the ‘old man’ on the other side of the ocean. He also said the Czech side’s offensive and baseless rebukes against Russia were outrageous and could not be understood or analysed.

Earlier, the Czech government claimed that Russian citizens Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov were involved in the 2014 bombing of a Czech arms depot. Peskov denied whether the Russian government would examine the fact that the two citizens crossed the border.
