November 10, the Northern Military District of Jordan cooperated with the National Drug Enforcement Administration to defeat a major drug smuggling case exported from Syria.
The Jordanian News Agency quoted official sources from the headquarters of the Arab Army of the Jordanian Armed Forces. During the exchange of fire between the Jordanian Arab army and drug dealers, one person was injured and the other side was retreated into Syria. During the inspection, 279 cannabis sticks, 12,000 pregabalin pills, 6,000 Fenethylline stimulants and 2 kg of methamphetamine were seized.
The source confirmed that in order to protect the security of citizens and the borders of the Kingdom of Jordan, the armed forces will go all out to combat any drug smuggling that has penetrated into Jordan.
