Jordan has foiled a case of arms and drug trafficking along the country’s border with Syria

19 May 2021 , the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces informed the outside world that its northern military region had foiled a case of drug and arms smuggling in the border area between Jordan and Syria.

Eleven persons involved in smuggling entered Jordan illegally from the Syrian side, three of whom were killed by Jordanian armed forces, two were wounded and captured, and six returned to Syrian territory.
