      According to Japan’s Kyodo News Agency, the Japanese government announced on the 26th that it would suspend new arrivals from all countries and regions from the 28th to the end of January next year.

      According to the Japan Broadcasting Association, according to the data reported by local self-government groups and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare throughout Japan, from 00:00 to 20:00 local time on the 26th, 3,877 new infections were reported in Japan in a single day, so far, the total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Japan has reached 216,430.  

      On the 26th, 47 new deaths were reported, with a cumulative death toll of 3,234. On the 26th, 949 new infections were added to Tokyo, setting a new high in the number of new infections in Tokyo in a single day. The cumulative number of infections in Tokyo reached 55,851.
