August 25 China Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin held a regular press conference.
Japan and Taiwan’s “ruling party” will hold their first security talks this week, according to a reporter’s question. Chinese mainland growing military might be a top priority. What is China’s comment on this?
‘I’ve noticed the reports, ‘ Mr. Wang said. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and China firmly opposes any form of official exchanges between the countries that have established diplomatic ties with Taiwan.
The Taiwan issue concerns the political basis of Sino-Japanese relations. Japan has a historical responsibility to the Chinese people on the Taiwan issue, and in particular needs to be careful in its words and deeds.
We seriously urge Japan to re-examine the relevant considerations, not to interfere in China’s internal affairs in any form, and not to send the wrong signal to the “Taiwan independence” forces in any form.
