According to the Japanese Broadcasting Association (NHK), the Japanese government has decided to ban non-Japanese citizens from the UK from entering the country from Christmas Eve (24th) in view of the new infectious strain of the novel coronavirus strain in Britain.
So far, more than 40 countries and regions have suspended flights from the United Kingdom.
NHK said that citizens who need to go to the UK due to official business, including foreigners who live in Japan for a long time, can still go to the UK, but they must self-isolate for 14 days after returning to Japan.
In addition, starting next week, returnees from the United Kingdom must submit a negative test report for the novel coronavirus within 72 hours before departure.
