The Italian Ministry of Health said that the confirmed case recently returned to Italy by plane from the United Kingdom and entered at Fiumicino Airport in Rome. His cohabitants are currently quarantined.
His family and close contacts have also followed the relevant epidemic prevention regulations of the Ministry of Health.
In response to the warning of the United Kingdom about the new variant of the novel coronavirus, Italy announced on the 20th that it would immediately suspend all flights to and from the United Kingdom until January 6 next year, and banned passengers who have stayed in the UK for 14 days from entering or transiting in Italy.
If the above-mentioned passengers have entered the country, they need to contact the local health department for COVID-19 test.
