Kenyan media reported on the 2nd local time that Kenya’s year-on-year inflation rate reached 5.62% in December 2020, compared with 5.46% in November of that year.
According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, the consumer price index (CPI) in the country was 111.56 in December last year, compared with 110.78 in November of the same year.
During the reporting period, the food and non-alcoholic beverage index rose by 2.45% from November to December. Compared with the same period last year, the inflation rate of food rose by 7.19%.
