Indonesian military: Wants Chinese navy to be involved in salvage of sunken submarines

Indonesian Admiral Yudo Margono revealed to the media on April 30, local time, the progress of the salvage of the sunken submarine KRI Nanggala-402.

He said Singapore’s navy search-and-rescue equipment could only salvage the submarine’s light components. As for heavy components, it is hoped that ships belonging to the Chinese navy will help.

At present, the Chinese navy ships are going to Indonesia to assist in the salvage.
