Indonesia will use special ships to salvage the wreckage of the sunken submarine

by YCPress

Indonesian media reported that the Indonesian military will use a ship called Timas DSV 1201 to salvage the wreckage of the sunken submarine. The Timas DSV 1201 is a construction vessel used to operate in deep water, typically for offshore oil and gas drilling, capable of operating at depths of 3,000 metres.

Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono said he was unsure when the sunken submarine KRI Nanggala-402 would be salvaged because the wreckage was buried in mud, but everything was being carefully prepared.
