January 8th local time, the public health department of the Madrid region of Spain held a press conference and announced that from January 11 local time, 23 basic health areas and 9 municipalities will be added to the blockaded areas.

From the 11th, 41 basic health areas and 14 municipalities in the Madrid region will be put into lockdown, or 1.2 million people will be affected. The above measures will last until at least January 25.
