Officials from the Brazilian Ministry of Health stated that the slogan of this action is “Mosquito elimination is related to you, me, and him.” The event kicked off on the 24th in the Federal District where the Brazilian capital Brasilia is located. In the morning, a convoy carrying mosquito-killing propaganda personnel from the Ministry of Health introduced the mosquito-killing methods and measures to the public along the road in the Federal District. The event will be broadcast live on TV, the Internet and other media, and will last until December 31 this year.
It is reported that as of November 14, 2020, the number of patients infected with dengue and chikungunya in Brazil reached 971,136 and 78,808 respectively. As of October 24, 7006 people in the country have been infected with Zika virus.
