December 18, Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán said in an interview with the national media that Hungary will start vaccination against the novel coronavirus on December 27 or 28, in line with the European Union.
European Commission President von der Leyen announced on social media on the 17th that vaccination will be launched across the EU from December 27 to 29. Orbán said that 35,000 people will be vaccinated in the first phase, starting with the medical industry.
Vaccination is free of charge and follows the principle of voluntariness.
