According to the latest news from the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, all bars, dance halls and games rooms in the city have been closed since April 30, local time, in response to the recent outbreak of coronavirus in northern Vietnam.

In addition, the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee requires citizens to wear masks in public and urges strict checks on illegal immigration.

At present, the city of Hanoi has raised the pandemic disease prevention and control warning to the highest level.

People returning to Hanoi during the Liberation Day and May Day holidays in southern Vietnam must make health declarations.

Since 29 April, there have been nine confirmed cases of coronavirus in northern Vietnam, including Hanoi. This is the 72 consecutive days in Vietnam after no cases of community infection, the outbreak repeated.
