According to Greek media reports on January 5th local time, a defense agreement worth $1.68 billion signed between Greece and Israel was approved by the Greek Parliament on January 4.
This is also one of the largest defense agreements approved by the Greek Parliament.
The agreement signed by the Greek and Israeli defense ministries includes Israel’s provision of 10 M-346 trainers and maintenance T-6 trainers to Greece, as well as flight simulators, training and logistical support to Greece.
In addition, the Israeli Ministry of Defense has created a flight academy for the Greek Air Force, which will be built and operated by the Israeli international electronic defense company Elbit.
