Marios Himistocklis, secretary-general of primary health care at the Greek Ministry of Health, told the media on April 16th that Greece had cancelled its plan to vaccinate Johnson and Johnson for the first time on April 19th for safety reasons and was not open to the public because of a series of rare and severe thrombosis incidents following the recent vaccination of Johnson and Johnson, accompanied by platelet reduction.
Until Greece receives the latest instructions from the European Medicines Agency, it will not provide a johnson vaccine service to the public.
According to reports, on April 14 Greece has received 33,600 doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The European Medicines Agency has also decided to hold an online video news conference on the afternoon of April 20 to assess the safety of the Johnson vaccine and make new recommendations.
