Germany’s confirmed diagnosis Berlin, October 19 (Reporter Peng Dawei) As of the evening of the 19th local time, the cumulative number of people diagnosed with the new crown virus in Germany has exceeded 369,000. 

The German state of Bavaria announced on the same day that Berchtesgadenland County, where the famous scenic spot Königssee is located, will be “closed” from 14:00 on the 20th due to the severe epidemic.

Residents of this county are required to stay at home if there is no necessary reason. Don’t go out. Berchtesgadenland is the first county to announce a lockdown since the second wave of the outbreak in Germany.

The German disease control agency announced on the 19th that the number of new confirmed cases was 4,325. 

According to the German “Times Online” report, as of 19:00 local time on the 19th

a total of 369,592 people were diagnosed, 294,797 were cured, and 9,901 people died in Germany.

Berchtesgadenland

Berchtesgadenland is located at the southernmost tip of Bavaria in southern Germany, bordering Salzburg, Austria. Königssee in the county is a famous tourist destination in Germany, attracting a large number of international tourists every year.

As of the 19th, Berchtesgadenland has become one of the 401 counties and cities in Germany with the worst epidemic situation. 

According to the “average number of new diagnoses per 100,000 people in seven days” calculated by the official German epidemic situation, this index in the county has reached 252.1, the highest in Germany, and has far exceeded the warning value of 50.

On the same day, the Minister of Agriculture of Bavaria Kanibel and the county mayor of Berchtesgadenland Kern jointly announced the decision to close the city. 

to stay at home except for “necessary reasons” such as going to work, purchasing necessities and outdoor sports. 

At the same time, the local area will also stop all activities except religious

services, and all leisure facilities including swimming pools, theaters, cinemas, museums and gyms must be closed. 

Restaurants will only allow take-out, and dine-in services must be suspended. 

On the same day, Bavarian Governor Soder also called for mandatory

wearing of masks in schools and offices in hot spots throughout Germany.

Up to now, the German Federal Government has not expressed its position on this approach in Bavaria. Other states and cities have not announced that they will follow this approach.
