On April 23rd, local time, the Robert Koch Institute, germany’s federal agency, announced that the Federal Government of Germany would classify India as a high-risk area for the outbreak from the 25th because of the sharp increase in the number of coronavirus infections.
Tunisia, Cape Verde, Qatar and Oman were also listed as high-risk areas for the outbreak.
Several Caribbean countries, including the Dominican Republic, which is popular with German tourists, have been withdrawn from the list of high-risk areas for the outbreak.
This means that returning to Germany from the above-mentioned areas no longer requires the fulfilment of quarantine obligations.
