German Chancellor Angela Merkel is given AstraZeneca’s first dose of the vaccine

April 16th local time, German government spokesman Seibert announced that German Chancellor Angela Merkel had been vaccinated in the afternoon of the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, and on the social platform published Merkel’s vaccination certificate.

The certificate showed that Merkel was given the first dose of the vaccine, AstraZeneca, on April 16.

Ms Merkel said she was pleased to have received AstraZeneca’s first dose of the vaccine. She thanked the staff of all vaccination centres and all the vaccinated people. Merkel stressed that vaccination is the key to fighting the outbreak.

Previously, rare thrombosis symptoms were detected after being vaccinated against AstraZeneca in several countries. Germany stipulates that the vaccine will be restricted to people over the age of 60. It is understood that German Vice Chancellor Schulz also on the 16th to get the vaccine.
