According to the latest weekly report on the novel coronavirus epidemic released by the French Public Health Agency, two findings sounded the alarm bell for the prevention and control of the epidemic at the end of the year and the beginning of the new year.
The survey shows that the willingness of the French people to vaccinate against the novel coronavirus has decreased, and the implementation of prevention and control measures has generally declined.
According to the French Public Health Agency, only 40% of the respondents in this round of surveys said they were sure or likely to be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, a 13% decrease from the November survey, and the willingness to be vaccinated at all ages has decreased.
It is worth noting that in the age group of 65 and above, although 61% of the respondents said they were willing to vaccinate, the highest of all ages, it still decreased by 11% compared with November, which was the primary target group in France to launch the vaccination program on the 27th.
The French Public Health Service also found that 85% of the respondents said they insisted on wearing masks in public places, a situation that has remained stable since France implemented the second national restrictive measures on October 31 this year.
However, other prevention and control measures such as washing hands frequently, maintaining social distancing of 1 meter, and avoiding gatherings have generally declined, especially among the ages of 35 and 49.
