France transfers Kabuga suspect of Rwanda massacre to Hague, Netherlands for trial

French Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on October 27, local time, in accordance with the decision of the United Nations Criminal Tribunal’s International Residual Mechanism (Residual Mechanism), France handed over the Rwanda massacre suspect Felician Kabuga to the Trial by relevant agencies in The Hague, Netherlands.

According to reports, Kabuga is 84 years old. He was originally a wealthy Rwandan businessman and has lived in France under a false identity in recent years. During the Rwanda massacre, Kabuga incited tribal hatred through the radio station he controlled, and also provided financial support for the massacre. In May of this year, Kabuga was arrested in the suburbs of Paris.
