French Health Minister Villán said on the same day that the decision of the French General Administration of Medical and Health means that France has “greenlighted the green light” for the use of the coronavirus vaccine.
He said that vaccination in France will begin on the 27th, and the elderly and front-line health personnel will be given priority.
The European Union Drug Administration made a positive assessment of the safety and effectiveness of Pfizer vaccine this week. The European Commission approved the conditional market of the vaccine within the European Union, and the first batch of vaccines will be shipped from Pfizer’s production base in Belgium.
The Elysee Palace of the French presidential palace issued a press release on the 24th, saying that Macron has not shown any symptoms of COVID-19 infection and can end the seven-day quarantine under the current health regulations.
