First flight of Japanese Osprey transport plane drew public protests

Ministry of Defense of Japan : the test flight range of the “Osprey” transport aircraft will be expanded beyond the Japanese Self-Defense Force camp on the 10th. 

On the day of the test flight, local Japanese people protested outside the camp.

 In July, two U.S.-made V-22 Osprey transport aircraft used in the island capture operation arrived at a Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force camp in Chiba Prefecture. The Japanese government plans to deploy 17 Ospreys by 2025.
