Currently, rescuers are launching search and rescue operations at the scene to determine if there are more casualties.
According to local media reports, the factory involved has been operating without a license after its business license was revoked due to safety issues.
The director of the Occupational Safety Administration of the Israeli Ministry of Labor, Horz Schwarzman, said that the factory had been operating illegally for three years after the safety problem was discovered.
“This is a fatal incident. Investigators, police and emergency services are on the scene. The authorities will fully investigate the cause of the explosion.”
