According to Greek media reports, a 90-year-old female COVID-19 patient died on January 5 in a hospital in Hania, Crete.
The day before, she had just been transferred to the hospital for treatment, but her condition deteriorated sharply because of a variety of basic diseases.
According to the introduction, the female patient, who had previously lived in a nursing home in Hania, tested negative for COVID-19 on December 31 last year, but turned positive on January 4 and was sent to the hospital.
On January 4, the nursing home completed all the tests for the novel coronavirus. In addition to the 90-year-old woman, two staff members and five other elderly people tested positive.
The epidemic prevention team has fully disinfected the internal and external environment of the nursing home, and seven people infected with COVID-19 have also entered quarantine.
