On the afternoon of February 27th, local time, a demonstration in solidarity with arrested rapper Pablo Hassel broke out on the streets of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, Spain.
From about 19:00 local time, about 5,000 people crossed the streets of Barcelona’s city center. Protesters destroyed the offices of several banks during the parade. Some militants attacked guards and set fire to police cars.
A hotel on Rambra Street was also occupied by demonstrators. According to a report by the police of Catalonia, in addition to Barcelona, several municipalities in Catalonia also broke out in support of singer Hasel on the same day.
