The AFP just reported that on the evening of January 5 local time, Georgia Democrat Rafael Warnock announced his victory over Republican Kelly Lefler in the Georgia Senate runoff, but the latter did not admit his defeat.
However, the report also mentioned that U.S. officials and major media have not yet announced the winners of the two runoffs.
Georgia ushered in the second round of voting for the Senate on January 5. This vote will not only determine the ownership of the state’s two seats in the Senate, but also determine who can win the Senate leadership, and will even affect Biden’s smooth governance and Trump’s future influence.
The day before, Trump and Biden came to Georgia to canvass for the candidates of their respective parties.
