On the same day, Babiš told the Czech local media that due to the uncertainty of the epidemic situation and the increase in deaths, the government will seek the maximum extension of the state of emergency, that is, 30 days, from the House of Representatives, to take strict epidemic prevention measures to deal with the coronavirus epidemic.
The Czech state of emergency has been in effect since October 5, 2020, and has been extended several times.
It is currently valid until January 22. Previously, the Czech government repeatedly applied for an extension of the state of emergency for 30 days when the state of emergency was about to expire.
