April 14, local media reported that counter-terrorism agencies foiled an Islamic State terror attack in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, killing four terrorists and seizing large quantities of weapons, improvised remote-controlled explosive devices and up to 5 kilograms of explosives.
According to reports, a spokesman for the Counter-Terrorism Operations Department said that the Counter-Terrorism Operations Group was attacked by terrorists when they raided terrorist hideouts and persuaded them to drop them. Four terrorists were killed and three others were at large as they fled into the mountains and exchanged fire with the Counter-Terrorism Operations Group.
