Confirmed cases of Omikron strain reported for the first time in the U.S. capital, involving 4 people

December 13 – On the 12th local time, the Washington, D.C. Health Department announced that the first batch of Omikron strain infections had been found locally.

According to Capitol Hill on the 12th, health officials confirmed that 3 women and one man in the U.S. capital have been infected with the Omikron strain, and all 4 have been vaccinated.

Two of the women recently went to Maryland and Virginia during the Thanksgiving holiday, and the other woman went to Florida and New York. Men have no travel records.
