Argilova pointed out that this situation is not unexpected, and this type of co-infection will still occur during the months of seasonal influenza pandemic.

The flu peak in Bulgaria usually occurs from January to February each year. The World Health Organization recommends that the most effective way to prevent influenza is to get an influenza vaccine.
