December 27 – 2021 Queen Elizabeth II celebrates Christmas in the castle this year according to the “Central News Agency”. London police said on the 26th that a man with a crossbow was arrested for trying to break into Windsor Castle and is currently detained under the Mental Health Act.
Police said that a 19-year-old man from Southampton in southern England was stopped not long after slipping into the yard of the castle early Christmas morning. He didn’t break into any buildings.
The police said, “The man was detained and has been assessed. He was treated under the provisions of the Mental Health Law, and was taken care of by professional medical staff. After that, the man was searched and a crossbow was found.”
Queen Elizabeth II was celebrating Christmas with Prince Charles and his wife and other relatives in Windsor Castle. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Queen stayed in this castle most of the time.
This Christmas, the Queen did not appear in public, but made a Christmas speech to the people of the whole country in a pre-pre-recorded way, mentioning her late husband Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 at the age of 99. When the Queen recorded her speech, there was a picture of herself holding hands with Prince Philip behind her.
