December 3rd According to Reuters, several sources said on the 2nd that several states in the United States, led by New York, are investigating Facebook’s alleged violation of antitrust laws and plan to file an antitrust lawsuit against it next week.
The lawsuit will be the second major lawsuit against large high-tech companies this year. The U.S. Department of Justice sued California technology giant Google in October this year, asking the court to rule that Google’s behavior in maintaining search and search advertising is illegal, and that Google’s exclusive deal with mobile phone manufacturers protects its monopoly position.
Sources said that more than 40 states have planned to join the lawsuit against Facebook anonymously. Facebook and a spokesman for the New York Attorney General’s Office have declined to respond at present. The specific content of the lawsuit has not yet been announced.
