According to Brazilian media reports on the 15th, the Brazilian Santos Football Club signed with player Robinho last weekend, which caused a lot of controversy.

A sponsor also terminated the contract with the club. Robinho was sentenced to 9 years in prison for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman with 5 other people in 2017.

Since this is a first-instance judgment, it can still be appealed, so Robinho can participate in the competition normally .

Sponsors who terminated the contract with Santos believed that their client group was mostly women, and out of respect for them, they decided to terminate the contract.

Robinho, once known as the “cycling boy”, is 36 years old and has become famous for the Santos Club. He has played for Real Madrid, AC Milan, Manchester City and other famous European clubs.

The Santos Club has only signed a five-month contract with Robinho, with a monthly salary of 1,500 reais (approximately USD 280), and there are incentive clauses in the contract. You can get 300,000 reais (approximately USD 25.000) , you can get an additional 300,000 reais after 15 appearances.

The bonus will be paid after the contract ends.
