February 3rd – An 11-year-old boy in Brazil was locked in an iron bucket for three days without food.
The police have rescued the boy and arrested three of the boy’s families.
According to the Sun on the 2nd, the police rescued the boy on January 30.
When the police arrived at the scene, the boy was locked in an iron bucket and naked.
The boy has been forced to stand in the iron barrel.
In order to prevent the boy from escaping, his family put the iron barrel in a corner of the brick wall and pressed the edge of the iron barrel with a marble sink.
The boy’s legs become swollen due to standing for a long time and cannot squat or sit down.
The boy looks very weak and malnourished, and even going to the toilet can only be carried out in the bucket.
The iron bucket is full of excreta and mixed with the smell of urine.
The police used wire pliers to cut the chain on the boy.
When the boy saw someone rescue him, he shouted weakly, “I want something to eat.” “I’ve been working for 23 years and I’ve never seen this,” said Mike Jackson, a police officer involved in the rescue.
He was then taken to the hospital by the police for treatment.
On February 1st, local time, the boy was placed in his aunt’s home by the relevant departments after he was discharged from the hospital.
The boy’s father, his father’s girlfriend, and his father’s girlfriend’s daughter were arrested on suspicion of abuse.
The boy’s neighbor said that they found that the boy hadn’t gone to school for a long time and had never seen him play with other children nearby, so they decided to call the police.
The boy’s father said that his son was “very irritable at home, so he locked him in a bucket to teach him a lesson”.
According to local media, the boy also told the police that his father had rudely poured bleach on him to let him bathe, and he was often ill-treated after turning ten.
The boy’s father will face two to eight years in prison, and the other two will face one to four years in prison.
