Biden promised in a People magazine interview published on Wednesday that no one in his family could participate in government decision-making.
He said, “We will operate like the Obama administration, so that families abide by the relevant moral requirements and avoid any misconduct.”
He added: “No one in our family will participate in any government affairs or foreign policy. There is no their office here. They can come to me anytime, but no one (there is an office).
Biden said he had previously refused to pay for him personal expenses from the government and promised to stay away from misconduct.
“I remember having an accountant told me a few years ago that I could ask the Senate to pay for part of the gas in my car.
But I refused, for example, if the foul line is 15 feet away from the basket, I will never get close to 17 feet, because it is about public trust.”
It is reported that on Biden’s inauguration day, Biden’s brother Frank flaunted his brotherhood with Biden in an advertisement broadcast by his law firm, which was suspected of soliciting business in the name of Biden.
White House press secretary Pasaki responded on Friday that Biden “worked to ensure that his government is the most ethical government in history”, but refused to elaborate on the accountability measures taken after Frank’s advertisement was released.
“I’m not going to get involved in private conversations between the president and his family members,” Pasaki said.
The White House then issued a solemn statement that no commercial activities would be carried out under Biden’s name.
This is in sharp contrast to Trump’s frequent use of his presidency to earn business benefits for himself.

Biden also talked about the Senate vote trial on Trump’s impeachment trial next Tuesday.
He predicted that Republicans would not give enough votes to impeach Trump’s conviction for the former president, but he said that it was necessary for the Senate to conduct impeachment proceedings.
He said that since the House voted to impeach Trump, he has been answering the question of whether the impeachment process should continue, rather than whether Trump should be convicted.
“He was impeached by the House of Representatives, and impeachment must continue, otherwise it will be like a farce.
I’m no longer in the Senate, and obviously I don’t know what may happen.”
He added, “I don’t want revenge [Trump]. My job is to try to heal this country and push America forward, because I think there are still many opportunities for our country.”
