January 21st – On the 20th local time, the day of the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Biden, a group of protesters gathered outside the Colorado Capitol, dressed in black and burned the U.S. flag in front of the police.
According to the Sun and Business Insider on the 20th, the group of protesters belong to the left-wing radical antifa.
That afternoon, they gathered outside the Capitol in Denver, Colorado, shouting anti-police slogans.
Scenes show that the protesters lit more than one American flag.
As the police then came forward to try to put out the flames, they shouted slogans such as “Our community doesn’t want the police”.
The city of Denver has previously learned that three protests are planned to hold in and around the Colorado capital on the 20th.
One march was organized by members of “Black Lives and Lives” and “Anti-Fascist”, and the other claimed to be part of an anti-government action, and the third was called the Colorado Inauguration Day Parade.
Colorado Governor Polis has previously asked the National Guard to be on standby to protect the state capitol building from any protests that erupt on the President’s inauguration day from turning violent.
