A new Gallup poll shows that U.S. President Joe Biden’s approval ratings fell in the first nine months of his presidency, more than any other U.S. president since 1945.
A poll published by The Telegraph on Wednesday showed Mr Biden’s approval rating down 11.3 percentage points, from 56 per cent in his first three months in office to 44.7 per cent in the past three months. That’s a bigger drop than the decline that former President Barack Obama experienced in his first nine months in the presidency, when his approval rating fell 10.1 percentage points.
by contrast, former president donald trump’s approval rating fell by just 4.4 percentage points in his first nine months in office.
biden’s approval ratings have been falling sharply since july, when new cases of infection in the u.s. are on the rise, the report said, and further declined in late august after the chaotic withdrawal of u.s. troops from afghanistan.
