Biden approved Kentucky as a state of major disaster

April 23, U.S. President Joe Biden announced a major disaster in Kentucky through a White House statement and ordered the federal government to provide assistance to support state and local governments in restoring and repairing areas affected by severe storms, floods, landslides and mudslides between February 27 and March 14.

The White House says aid measures include money to build temporary homes and repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured construction losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the disaster.
