Bassil’s Lebanese office accuses the American ambassador to Lebanon of trying to create a gap between the Lebanese parties
November 9th local time, Lebanon’s Free National Front Chairman Basil’s Office issued a statement accusing the US ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, of attempting to create a barrier between the Free National Front and Hezbollah
saying that the act was doomed to be futile To no avail. The statement stated that if the United States is unwilling to disclose some of the evidence, it should at least be transferred to the Lebanese judicial department for processing.
According to reports, earlier on the 9th, U.S. ambassador to Lebanon Shay said that during a meeting with him, the chairman of the Free National Front,
Basil, expressed his willingness to break with Hezbollah under certain conditions. The United States will try its best to publish evidence on accusations and sanctions against Basil, but some of it cannot be made public.
